What Are My Options for Game Testing?
Believe it or not, your options are endless.
There are a few key points you need to understand before you take the plunge into game testing.
1. Be prepared to work. This isn’t a game, you’re testing a game and that is a job.
2. Enjoy playing games. I think this is a given but it doesn’t hurt to say it again and again. 90% of the job postings for game testers specifically list “Passion for games” as a requirement.
3. Understand how a computer works and some general programs. Good examples of programs to learn are Excel and Word. Excel is used for reporting bugs and tracking things in your area and therefore many employers want you to be familiar with this program.
4. Be a people person. Testers work within small and large groups. If you can’t get along with others, then maybe being a tester is not for you.
So now that you understand what is expected of you, what are your options?
There are many different types of testing jobs. Part time, full time, contract, payroll, etc. I think the first thing you need to do is decide what types of games you like to play. Then when applying for a position you would just apply for companies that make the type of game you enjoy most. Could this limit your possibilities? I suppose so, but if you have a large enough selection of companies to apply with then it shouldn’t make that much of a difference to you.

Quality Assurance
No matter what the term, it’s all the same test games and find bugs so gamers don’t have to find them for you!

With havin so much content do you ever run lotopyeer into any problems of plagorism or copyright violation?
