Another Game Company Bites the Dust
Gamelab just recently closed it’s NY office. This is one of many companies that simply cannot make it through these tough economic times. They have since sold all of their property including all of their office equipment. Yet after all this, the company remains mum on the situation.
The company first mentioned plans for a Fall layoff last year which was the first inclination into their potential issues.
This falls on the tail of another developer 3D Realms who also had to shut their doors down.
It’s a scary sign of more bad news to come and more and more companies succumb to the ever flailing economic state.
So what can you do? Look for positions with the larger companies. Companies that are well known and highly established. At this point that is your best bet for holding on to your position and making it through this awful depression.
