QA and Playtesting
What a great combo. With QA, it specifically means Quality Assurance, which is another word for what a game tester does in their position.
Playtesting is exactly what it sounds like, you get to play for FUN! I mean really you can’t get much better than that.
Testing is work, playtesting is FUN!
There are a ton of these types of positions out there at any given time.
I am going to post one here, but keep in mind that when the position is filled, most likely the link to the job will no longer be valid.
This particular job is with a company in PA. The company is named Schell Games.
The responsibilities on this particular position include obviously testing, finding issues, and providing feedback.
The requirements are basically 2 years working in the gaming industry, knowledge of software, general QA practices, and knowledge of game production. Those are all typical requirements from a company who is looking for a tester with previous experience.
