The Saboteur

saboteurLet’s run down the good the bad and the ugly on this game.

Just released today for the XBox 360, PS3 and the PC, this game for the most part is getting good reviews.

The graphics in this game are amazing and the mixture of black and white with color is phenomenal.  The shooting is of course a TON of fun.

Then there is the bad.  It’s said that the driving controls aren’t at their best.

The ugly-certain stealth elements are underdeveloped.  They could have used a little more testing in this area before releasing this game.

Halo 3: ODST

Halo 3Please, please, please tell me you’ve had a chance to check out the latest in the Halo series?  If not, you have no idea what you’re missing!

In this version, you are no longer the Master Chief, you’re just a UNSC soldier known as a ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Trooper) and you’re missing is exploring the ruins on Mombasa to find your missing teammates.  Not an easy task at all of course, but WAY fun.

Sales (as I expected) are soaring on this one.  You can’t miss all of the exciting multi-player action.

Modern Warfare 2

modernwarfareAre you as excited about this release as I am?  I love the COD series.  Scheduled for release on November 10th, I just cannot seem to wait for this one.  Modern Warfare 2 will be released for PS3, XBox 360 and the PC.

With 15 possible killstreak rewards, the multiplayer version is going to kick some serious ass.  One includes the ability to pull out your laptop and direct an AC130’s attack on your opponents.  There are also rewards for breaking an opponents kill streak.

Rumor has it that the special edition which includes night vision goggles may also have a specially made controller only to be used for this game.

Bionic Commando-PC

Scheduled for release on July 28th for the PC version of the game, Bionic Commando is a Sci-Fi adventure game.

Anyone familiar with the series knows it’s all about the bionic arm.  And with that bionic arm comes a lot of grappling and swinging around town.  You will reprise your role of Nathan Spencer.

This game takes place 10 years after the original arcade version.  You’re thrown into Ascension City and you’re an operative for the Tactical Arms & Security Committee.  Betrayed by your government and falsely accused, you’re on your way to death when something explodes in Ascension City.  So now what happens?  Well of course they need your help since the entire city is wiped out.  And so the game begins.

Cryostasis: The Sleep of Reason

So it’s the late 60’s, you’re in Russia on a frozen ship stuck in the Arctic Circle and what have we here?  Perhaps things that go bump in the night?

Cryostasis is being released today for the PC.  From what I have heard the game can get quite confusing.  Many parts of this game don’t make sense to experienced gamers.  But overall, I think it’s going to be a great PC gaming experience.

Your objective?  Get through the ship, don’t freeze to death while doing it and find out what the hell happened there.  Along the way you’ll encounter ghosts of former crew mates who are determined to put an end to your life.

The Last Remnant

Released on March 24th by Square Enix, the word is the PC version of this game is a hell of a lot better than the XBox 360 version.  If you are an RPG fan, then you have GOT to get your hands on this game!

Rush Sykes plays the hero.  His sister Irina is kidnapped and so the game begins.  Politics and magical artifacts (remnants) lead the way throughout this thriller.

There are hundreds of battles to be had, and lives at stake in this game.  You will be responsible for recruiting leaders and soldiers.  You choose the commands that will determine the outcome of each battle.

Resident Evil 5

I have mixed feelings about this upcoming release.  I have always thoroughly enjoyed the Resident Evil series.  For as long as I can remember it’s been one of my favorite horror action games.  At this point I’m just honestly hoping that it’s a throwback to the original RE series.  I’m talking RE 1, 2 & 3.  I have played every single release in the RE series and yes I’ve been disappointed with the later releases like many RE fans were.  Part of the pleasure with Resident Evil is the scary music playing in the background, the difficult puzzles that really get you thinking on your toes, and of course the horror, sheer horror that is RE.
